Posted by Di in walter knoll florist, tags: Amorphophallus, dragon plant, stink lily of India, Voodoo LilyMr Stinky is still growing! Today, 4/2 he is just over 30″ tall – here are 3 pics from today. I think he likes hanging out with the early blooming Easter Lilies we have on display!

I have one about the same size that has bloomed for about 2 weeks. The plant blossom was about 5 feet tall! Neat bulb plant! These do multiply year to year too.
I have a few bulbs given to me that are starting to sprout up. Will these grow well inside? (I have some indirect sun)… I see you have it in a pot here…
Thanks!
They do well in pots, but just like the ones out in my garden the plant dies off in fall or late fall – turns yellow and withers – then usually in May but sometimes not until early June they sprout up again – You can just throw your pot of rhizomes in the basement for the winter – don’t even need to water it – bring it up in spring and start waterings.
He did not grow taller overnight yesterday but his flower is getting bigger and more open, if you stick your nose really close the odor is beginning to come!
when will Mr Stinky open up? Is there going to be a bloom?
Does that red part open up? Cant wait to see!
